Kendal Town vs Bradford Park Avenue Saturday 25 February, 3.00pm kick off
Evo-Stik

Craig Dootson - Goalkeeper

Goalkeeper Dootson joins Town for the 2011 Season from Conference National outfit Altrincham, signing a two-year contract with Kendal Town.

A hugely experienced and talented goalkeeper; playing the vast majority of his football in the Conference leagues, Craig is sure to be a real asset for Town over the next two seasons.

Craig has previously played for Bamber Bridge, Stalybridge Celtic, Bury, Hyde United, Fleetwood Town, Harrogate Town and Altrincham.

Craig is sponsored by SKKits.

Tom Newton - Goalkeeper

Originally hailing from Carlisle, Newton was understudy to David Newnes during the 2009/2010 season, but has since progressed to be a serious challenger for the number one jersey, culminating in a career defining performance away at FC United of Manchester on the final day of the 2010/11 season.

As a reward for his exceptional progression Tom was offered and signed a one-year contract with the club.

Tom previously played for Carlisle City.

Tom is sponsored by SKKits.

Marc Joseph - Defender

Having spent over 15 years playing in the Football League, Manager Lee Ashcroft has pulled off a coup for the club with the signing of Marc Joseph on a one-year contract ahead of the 2011/12 season. Like Craig Dootson, Marc joined Kendal Town from Conference National side Altrincham.

A great organiser and leader, Joseph is a strong tackler, dominant in the air and more than comfortable playing with the ball at his feet.

Marc has previously played for Cambridge United, Coventry City, Peterborough United, Hull City, Bristol City, Blackpool, Rotherham United and Altrincham.

Marc has also played international football for Antigua and Barbuda.

Marc is sponsored by Craig & Eileen Campbell.

Sean Gregan - Defender

A player that needs no introduction to the Kendal faithful, Sean Gregan has a playing record that most players can only dream of. With well over 600 professional appearances to his name, Sean brings a wealth of top level experience to Kendal Town's defence.

Sean was instrumental in captaining West Bromwich Albion in their promotion winning season of 2003/04, playing every game. He also achieved fan favourite status at Preston North End, Leeds United and Oldham Athletic for his no-nonsense defensive displays.

Sean has previously played for Darlington, Preston North End, West Bromwich Albion, Leeds United, Oldham Athletic and Fleetwood Town.

Update: August 2011 - Sadly we have received news that during our recent fixture with Matlock Town, Sean ruptured his achilles tendon. This is a very serious injury and it is therefore likely that Sean will face a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Everyone at KTFC wishes Sean all the best with his recovery.

Danny Wisdom - Defender

Entering his fourth full season with Kendal Town, Danny quickly achieved fan favourite status with his all-action displays.

Widely regarded as one of the top left wingbacks in the division, Danny can be a real handful for any opposition player with his pace and strength, whilst also being very adept in the defensive position that he has made his own.

Danny has previously played for Blackpool and Morecambe.

Danny is sponsored by Steve & Lynne Dixon.

Jordan Tucker - Defender

Defender Tucker has bags of ability and the personality to match. Jordan was one of Kendal's star performers in the run-in to the 2010/11 season, earning 3 man of the match awards in the last 4 games. He will be looking to learn from the copious experience available around him in defence and progress his huge ability for an even more impressive season with Kendal.

Jordan previously played for Liverpool.

Jordan is sponsored by Gomez, Vincent & Diane.

Ruairidh Winters - Defender

Comfortable at either right wingback or at centre half, Ruairidh is a great addition to Kendal Town's defensive line-up.

After initially arriving on loan from Morecambe, Ruairidh made the switch a permanent one last season.

Ruairidh has previously played for Oldham Athletic, Morecambe and Vauxhall Motors.

Ruairidh is sponsored by Brett Munslow.

Matthew Ashcroft - Defender

Suffering an injury ravaged campaign last season, left wingback Ashcroft will be looking to challenge Danny Wisdom for his spot in the team, as he is now fully fit and raring to go.

Matthew previously played for Runcorn Linnets.

Tim Baines - Defender

Making the step-up from local Westmorland League football with his hometown club Sedbergh, Tim is looking to gain experience and challenge for a place in the team. 'Jarvis' as he is affectionately known to his teammates due to his fondness for indie music and fashion, featured regularly during pre-season in a variety of defensive positions and sufficiently impressed Manager Lee Ashcroft to be offered a place in this season's squad.

Tim previously played for Sedbergh Wanderers.

Kieran Walmsley - Defender/Midfielder

Fresh from signing a two-year contract that will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2012/13 season, Kendal's set-piece specialist looks set to once again terrify goalkeepers and opposition defences in equal measure.

Reknowned across non-league football for his aptitude from deadball situations and his incredible ability for pinpoint cross-field passes, Walmsley is one of the key players at Kendal Town and every week is one of the first names on Manager Lee Ashcroft's teamsheet.

He is equally dependable at right wingback where he made his name, or indeed anywhere across the midfield. Dedicated and determined; Kieran is a role model for Kendal's younger players to aspire to.

Kieran has previously played for Morecambe and Fleetwood Town.

Kieran is sponsored by Shane Mason.

John Ross - Defender/Midfielder

Newly recruited during the pre-season by Manager Lee Ashcroft is Preston born John Ross after impressing during our successful Reserve Team trials.

Extremely pacey and with bags of trickery, he has featured regularly during pre-season in positions at wingback and on the wings, creating several goals.

Such player versatility will be crucial as Kendal Town embark upon what are certain to be very busy league and cup campaigns.

John previously played for Garstang.

Ashley Dunn - Midfielder

Entering his second full season with Kendal Town, our very own 'Stevie G' took no time at all to become a hit with the home fans after thundering home several trademark blasted goals from outside of the box early into his Town career.

Tough in the tackle and with incredible stamina levels, Ashley was a virtual ever-present in the centre of Town's midfield last season. Perhaps no surprise then that he scooped the Supporters' player of the season award last May with his lung-busting performances.

Ashley has previously played for Bamber Bridge, Fleetwood Town and Witton Albion.

Ashley is sponsored by John Wharton.

Ciaran Donnelly - Midfielder

Pulling the strings in Kendal's midfield once again is the joker amongst the pack Ciaran Donnelly.

Rarely to be found without a smile on his face, Ciaran's passing ability and knack for unlocking tight defences with clever plays has made him a regular in Manager Lee Ashcroft's plans.

Starting out at Blackburn Rovers where he was an ever-present in the reserve team during the 2003-04 season, he then joined up with hometown club Blackpool where he made over 30 appearances, before finding his way into non-league football with Fleetwood Town.

Ciaran has previously played for Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Fleetwood Town, Glenavon and Barrow.

Ciaran is sponsored by Aaron Gaskarth.

Danny Williams - Midfielder

Agile, skilful and with electric pace, Danny Williams is most wingbacks ultimate nightmare.

The left winger was a virtual ever-present last season after signing from Evo-Stik North side Clitheroe for an undisclosed sum. He earned man of the match accolades in his first three appearances for Kendal Town, immediately establishing himself as a hit with the home faithful.

Danny has previously played for Daisy Hill, FC United of Manchester and Clitheroe.

Danny is sponsored by Phil Creighton.

 Mark Peers - Midfielder

The other half of Kendal's talented wing pairing; Mark Peers, joins the side from Evo-Stik Premier rivals Northwich Victoria.

Extremely skilful and tenacious, Mark is a player that can go past people and has been one of the stand-out players during Town's pre-season campaign.

Mark has previously played for Raith Rovers, Witton Albion, Fleetwood Town, FC Halifax Town, Chester FC and Northwich Victoria.

Mark is sponsored by Nige Greer.

Ian Kilford (Assistant Manager) - Midfielder

'Killer' as he is affectionately known to the fans and his teammates is an experienced and reliable fixture in Kendal Town's midfield.

Whilst he may not start all the games, he is always ready and willing to jump into the breach when called upon and is an excellent calming influence for Kendal's younger players.

Ian has previously played for Nottingham Forest, Wigan Athletic, Scunthorpe United and Barrow.

Alex Taylor - Striker

'Tails' as he is known to fans and teammates alike is a popular and precocious talent often found spearheading Kendal's attack.

Reknowned for his hold-up play and ability to bring other players into the game, Alex endured an injury plagued season last term, something he hopes he has put behind him.

On his day, Tails can be the extra spark that makes all the difference for Kendal.

Alex has previously played for Liverpool, Burnley, Fleetwood Town, Lancaster City and Barrow.

Alex is sponsored by Paula Greer, Beth Davies & Fereshteh Emami.

Gary McEvatt - Striker

The most natural finisher on the books at Kendal Town, Gary heralds a goals scored record that is the envy of many strikers in the Evo-Stik Premier.

Quantity is everything for Gary; he doesn't care how he converts his chances, as long as they end up in the back of the net. Something that has endeared him to the Kendal Town fans.

Overcoming an injury scare early in the pre-season campaign, Gary appears to be fit and raring to go ahead of the big kick-off.

Gary previously played for Burscough.

Gary is sponsored by Carol Thompson & George Melling.

Andy Bell - Striker

Precociously talented and extremely adept at finishing, Andy Bell stirs up a nice selection problem for Manager Lee Ashcroft to have.

Now signing permanently for Town after a brief loan spell during the 2009/10 season, Andy makes for an exciting addition to Town's competitive frontline.

Andy has previously played for Wycombe Wanderers, York City, Hednesford Town, Fleetwood Town, Guiseley and AFC Fylde.

Andy is sponsored by Kevin O'Neil.

Mark Jackson - Striker

Scoring a hattrick on his debut for Kendal Town away at Burscough, before netting in his next game away at eventual playoff winners Colwyn Bay, it didn't take long for 'Jacko' to endear himself to the Kendal faithful.

A livewire who likes to make clever and unpredictable runs, Jacko is never easy to mark. He offers Manager Lee Ashcroft much needed diversity and a different attacking option.

Mark has previously played for Preston North End, Lancaster City and Clitheroe.

Tom Kilifin - Striker

Newly recruited and with bags of raw potential, young talent Tom is a player who will undoubtedly benefit from the rich surroundings at Parkside as he looks to try to break into Manager Lee Ashcroft's first team plans.

Tom previously played for Slyne and Hest.

Tom is sponsored by Jacob Matthews.
