Kendal Towns first chance came after good work from Garner found McDonald who played the ball through to Tucker but the County keeper came out to collect.
County went ahead on 20 minutes when a ball is played in from the left and it somehow gets through the Town defenders and finds Jones at the back post.
A shot from Countys Jordan Coathup hit the bar on 31 minutes but just moments later he caused more trouble by rounding Booth and put a ball across towards Jones but it went wide.
An effort from Joe Robertson is well saved by former Town keeper Tom Bush just before the break.
County made it 2-0 on 59 minutes when a ball is played down the line toward Countys No9 who takes on Braithwaite and plays the ball across the box to Jones who put it beyond Tom Newton.
A throw in came back to McDonald and he puts the ball in towards Ashcroft at the back post who`s shot was saved not once but twice by the County keeper.
Kendal County went further ahead on 67 minutes when a ball is played over the top towards Jones and there are appeals for offside but the flag stayed down and he slots it into the bottom corner.
Chances for McDonald and Shields failed to trouble the County keeper in the closing stages.
