Four-Star Town return to form with victory and a brilliant attacking display against Nantwich Town at The Cosyseal Stadium.
[Match Report by John Wharton]
Kendal claimed their first Evo-Stik Premier League victory since early September as they came from behind to beat Nantwich Town at The Cosyseal Stadium.
Home debutant Peter Wright was denied as Dabbers goalkeeper John Brain pulled off a neat save with just eight minutes played.
Brain served well again a few minutes later, expertly tipping over a Kieran Walmsley 35-yard dipping free-kick.
Late in the half Nantwich almost got in front when a well-worked move saw Nial McGuire fire marginally wide.
However when play switched to the other end after the injured Peter Wright had been replaced by Mark Jackson, Jackson's centre found Jordan Connerton and his powerful header was well-saved by Brain.
The goal action finally materialised in an exciting second-half. Prolific scorer Michael Lennon swept home confidently on 49 minutes to give the visitors the lead, but Kendal levelled just two minutes later through a Danny Wisdom header at the second attempt after Brain had kept out Wisdom's first headed effort from Ciaran Donnelly's corner.
It was 2-1 to the home side shortly afterwards, when Walmsley arrived at the far post to drill home a beautiful passing move.
A progressively dominant Kendal extended their lead on the hour mark when Crewe loanee Connerton swooped to score as his teammates appealed for a foul on Jackson.
Five minutes from time substitute Mark Jackson headed home from a Gary McEvatt cross, into the corner of Brain's goal to cap a dominant performance from the home side.
