Kendal Town sign Wayne Curtis

Monday 12th September 2011

Kendal Town FC are delighted to announce the signing of former Morecambe and Fleetwood Town striker Wayne Curtis.

Wayne is a vastly experienced striker, playing for 12 years with Morecambe, making 304 appearances and scoring 80 goals. He spent last season at Conference National side Fleetwood Town before going on loan to home town club Barrow AFC towards the end of the season.

Manager Lee Ashcroft said:

"I am very pleased we have managed to bring in someone of Wayne's calibre to the club. Along with Marc Joseph, Sean Gregan and now Wayne I have some great experience and quality about the place and this will be a massive asset to the club throughout the season."

Wayne will go straight into the squad for the game with Chester FC on Wednesday evening.

In his Morecambe days: Town's new frontman will provide tough competition for the other strikers at Parkside.
