Kendal Town Football Club ends communication with consortium

Kendal Town Football Club have today ended communication with a consortium, headed by Mr. Michael O'Neill, who were proposing to invest up to £100,000.

This follows repeated requests via email to Mr. O'Neill and his failure to provide details within a specified period relating to:

·         The full names and business details of ALL the investors.

·         A business plan with specific details of the short, medium and long term strategy.

·         History and management experience of working with a Step 4 football club.

We have been left with no alternative but to terminate communication. Without the above information we could not carry out our due diligence procedure or establish any proof of the funds being readily available.

The Management Committee would also like to say how disappointed they are with the totally unprofessional way - and in particular the timing, Mr. O’Neill made his approach known to the media and Supporters of Kendal Town Football Club.

Moving forward, Kendal Town Football Club will be holding an information evening on Tuesday May 23, 7pm at Finney's sports club revealing the plan and direction the management committee feel the club needs to go in to secure its long term sustainable future. All Kendal Town Football Club Supporters are welcome to attend.
